Isn’t he cute?
We haven’t had a lot of snow around here until the last day or so, but earlier in the month my son, Henry (age 5), and I made this one. I just took a tin can …
… and wrapped it in white yarn. I then took a piece of black felt, put the tin can on it, and drew a circle in chalk around the can and also about an inch out from the can. I cut out that circle and the center hole (it looked like a “O” or a flat doughnut) for the brim. I also made a strip of felt for the “hat” part of the hat. I wrapped the strip around the can and cut it to size. Then put the circle around the “hat” to make the brim. I didn’t even need to glue it together, because felt sticks to yarn. But it’s probably a good idea to glue it though, if I want him to last awhile!
I asked Henry how he thought we should make the face, suggesting googly eyes and felt, thinking about getting all fancy … He grabbed a Sharpie and said, “I know.”
And, he did! It turned out PERFECT.

That snowman is too cute! I love the little face Henry put on it.
