Our Valentine’s Day 2012
We started the day off yummy and sweet (and super easy) with heart shaped cinnamon rolls and waffles …
The kids’ Valentine cards from me were at their spots on the kitchen table. They were surprised at first … because the cards just looked like a plain white sheet of paper.
But … add a little paint …
And, they found out it really was a Valentine … a secret message Valentine!
On Tuesdays, Honor goes to her Tot class … so after we dropped her off for some Valentine fun at school, Henry & I had a chance to have some 1:1 time. We did a Valentine Heart graphing project.
Then we did some school work together and then played the Wii.
Soon it was time to pick Honor up and school, grab some lunch (the kids favorite, McDonald’s), run a couple errands, and drop Henry off at school. So, then Honor and I had our 1:1 time.
Honor and I went through all the Valentine’s she got at school. There were some super cute ones!
I also made her a Valentine version of her favorite snack!
Then I challenged Honor to a Valentine’s version of the color sort game we did in November.
We squeezed in ONE more Valentine craft … a sticker resist painted picture frame for Nana (aka my mom).
(somehow I didn’t get a photo of the finished product … I’ll have to get one and post later!)
Before long, Henry was home again … and we went through the Valentine’s he received …
He also brought me this beautiful gift…
It was great great day filled with love. How did you spend your Valentine’s Day?
