A Visit from the Bottle Fairy

Our 2.5-year-old, Honor, has been quite attached to her bottle for bedtime.  She latched onto it as a security item long ago … and honestly, we just haven’t had the right timing or energy to fight the battle.  (important note:  yes, although I am a child psychologist, it doesn’t mean that I always follow my own advice or do what I “know” I should do.  I am S-L-O-W-L-Y learning that therapists are human parents too!)

However, all of that is in the past … because last night we received a visit from the Bottle Fairy!  Kinda funny because just last night I was re-telling Honor the story of the Bottle Fairy and how she visits princesses when they are big enough to be done with their bottles.  As the legend goes the fairy comes in and takes all the bottles … and maybe even leaves a special note.  And that is JUST what happened last night, after Honor successfully (and somewhat begrudgingly) went to bed without a bottle first.
