What a Play Therapy Room Looks Like (new office)
I am so excited that I will be starting off the new year in a brand new office. It was time for a change … so, me and my friend/office mate (Dr Betz King), found a great new location and moved in over the past week (yes, over holidays).
This is actually my 7th office in the 13 years I have been practicing. The last 6 I have had a combined playroom and office. And now I finally have a huge playroom, as well as another office to see adults/parents/teens/supervisees. It was great fun to create the 2 spaces over the past week … adding in what I loved from other rooms … knowing what works and what doesn’t.
There’s still a lot of decorating to do … but here it is … This is what a Play Therapy Room Looks like:
Thanks to the renovation team for having it available on time, to my office mate for making it all come together, the movers for having an incredibly reasonable price, my parents for watching the kids so I could get it all done, and MOST OF ALL … my amazing husband for his support, hauling, and putting it all together for me!!!

Recently back to school after years of work as a Hospital Discharge Planner for LMHC degree. Very helpful information. Thank you for your blog.
Looks great! Would you be willing to share where you got the primary color 3-tier shelving units from? Thanks so much!
Melissa, I got them for Home Depot YEARS ago. It was great great purchase … they’ve held up really nice. I’m not sure where you’d find them now.
This is lovely! Thanks for sharing on our fb page ,Teach me Mommy.
