Have you seen Mouse’s First Day of School by Lauren Thompson? I use it each year. A mouse sneaks into a backpack and makes all kinds of discoveries in a classroom. I use it as an interactive way to check in with the kiddos by asking if they discovered the same things that mouse did. Then I have a Folkmanis white mouse puppet I named Blanca who visits, though she is very shy, she shares her first day of preschool by whispering in my ear. The kids love it!! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=265569623554578&set=pb.170943436350531.-2207520000.1346762430&type=1&theater Here’s a photo of Blanca whispering to me.
