I let both of my kids peruse my Valentine Pinterest board and pick out which idea the wanted to use for their Valentines for this year. Honor (my 3 year old daughter) chose this fun idea from The Crafting Chicks.
I purchased the star sunglasses from Oriental Trading Company for a great price. They’re not high quality, but are perfect for a fun favor. Once the sunglasses arrived in the mail, Honor and I had a little photo session. Once I got a great shot I did some photo editing with Google+ to add the text (“Happy Valentine’s Day to a SUPERSTAR friend”). Then I printed out a sheet of 2X2 inch size of the edited photo.
I used a paper cutter to cut down the photos and also to cut pink card stock paper into 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 squares. Honor helped me glue the photos onto the pink card stock. Then I used a hole punch to create a hole in the corner of the card. I used white curling ribbon to attach the card to the sunglasses.
I like that this Valentine includes a photo of her … perfect for her preschool peers that probably can’t read the names on Valentines anyway! I think they’ll be a big hit at the preschool Valentine party … not to mention loved by friends and relatives that we plan to send them too!

That is so cute! I love the idea of giving a picture for a valentine. Thanks for sharing.
