The ABCs of Building Blocks & Acorns … and The Weekly Kids Co-Op

This week I’m featuring the ABCs of Building Blocks & Acorns. Louise, the lovely lady behind the blog, is a UK mum and primary school teacher. She strongly believes in hands on play … such as sensory play in and outdoors … and keeping things simple. I definitely can’t argue with that! Age	Oh no, do I really have to answer this? Erm… okay. 28.
Beverage of Choice	Water. But if we’re talking alcoholic, then I love a little Baileys!
something you’d like to Change in your Life	Spend more time with my friends and family.
favorite Diversion	Blogging! The only thing that can distract me from that is having lots of fun with my little boy.
Essential start of the day	I have to start each morning off with a shower to wake me up and make me feel ready for the day.
Favorite Color	My followers may have already guessed this from my color scheme, but I LOVE turquoise/teal colours.
Favorite Game	My husband actually got me into the Xbox and when I get the time, I like to play Halo online with friends!
Height	About 5″3
favorite Ice Cream flavor	I am a bit of a chocoholic, so I’d have to say chocolate!
Beloved piece of Jewelry	My wedding ring.
Kids (names & ages)	On my blog, my little boy is known as ‘Darth’ (because of my huband’s love of all things Star Wars!) But don’t worry. We don’t really call him that! He is currently 20 months old.
Where do you Live	We live in a beautiful village in North Yorkshire, U.K. I feel very lucky to live in the countryside where I always wanted to raise children.
Favorite Movie(s)	This is a tricky one for me because it depends on what mood I’m in, but I’m a sucker for a chick flick and I LOVE watching Bridget Jones!
Nickname	My friends just call me Lou.
Occupation	I’m a primary school teacher and I teach Monday through to Wednesday now I have my little boy.
a weird thing in your Purse/bag	I’ve just taken a look and there’s a whole chocolate bar in my bag. It’s weird because they don’t normally last that long!!!

Right or left-handed	I’m right handed
Siblings	I have a sister and a brother.
Time it takes to get ready	When I get ready for work, about an hour from getting up to leaving the house. If I’m not teaching, then probably a lot longer!!
Unusual Fact	Not THAT unusual now, really, but I do have an allotment patch across the road, where we keep three chickens.
Best Vacation	We’ve been on two wonderful holidays to the Greek island of Santorini.
What makes you late	My little boy! If he’s filled his nappy (diaper,) just before leaving, or just doesn’t want to get in the car.
Xrays you’ve had	Mainly on my arm; I’ve broken my right arm twice (when I was younger)
Yummy food that you make	I’ve had lots of complements about my steamed chocolate pudding
favorite Zoo animal	Elephants, but I’d much rather see them be out in the wild.
