This project was TONS of fun … and pretty simple for the kids to create TRULY beautiful art. We used small canvas in which I drew a leaf with pencil:
I then took gel glue and traced over the pencil lines. I would have loved for Henry (age 5) to do this part himself (Honor, at 2 years of age, is still a bit young for that) … but he was NOT interested in crafting that day.
Once dry, and all of us in the mood for crafting, we used watercolor to paint the canvas:
It was amazing to watch how much the projects changed throughout the process. I wish I would have taken more photos, but we were too busy creating! We will definitely be doing similar projects in the future … maybe even re-doing this one each November!
Got this idea from Pink and Green Mama too. See it here.

I featured this project, as well as your coffee filter leaves, on my blog today. Thanks for linking up to the All Year Round Blog Carnival: Autumn! http://likemamalikedaughter.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-year-round-blog-carnival-autumn.html
