Best of 2012 Blog Hop

As we enter a new year it’s always nice to look back at favorite moments over the past year.  My family and I talked about this together … Henry (age 6.5) said his favorite was his Mario Kart Birthday Party, Honor (age 3.5) said going to the cottage Up North, and my husband said an afternoon we spent together at a pool while visiting his mom in Louisiana.  Those were some of my favorite moments too!  I would probably add another one of my favorites was the summer evening I had my kids and neighborhood kids paint rocks outside.

I also looked back through my blog posts over the past year to learn from my successes.  By far I have one post that has been a favorite for many … Promoting Positive Behavior.

I knew when writing the post that it had the potential to be helpful for many.  I have been delighted by the amount of views I have received from this one single post.  Six months later it continues to be one of my top viewed posts every day.  The main reason why I am excited about the popularity of THIS post is its subject matter.  I love that it’s popular because to me that means that parents are searching for ways to become better, more effective parents and have meaningful relationships with their children.  What better way to make my mark in the blogosphere.

Since I started blogging in July of 2011 I believe that my involvement in reading and creating posts have made me a better parent committed to improving my relationships with my children.  I’m looking forward to checking out all the wonderful posts in this blog hop just to make sure I didn’t miss any of the best of the best of 2012!
