Little Yellow Chicks

cute little TP chicks

I saw this post from Happy Hooligans and we just had to try out our own version.  All you need to make these cute little yellow chicks are a few toilet paper rolls (cut in half), yellow paint (of course you could use any color for different colored birds), orange foam sheets (for the beaks and feet), yellow feathers (again, any color will do!), google eyes, and glue. TP chicks supplies   I put some of the yellow paint into an old box and the kids and I rolled the tubes in the paint to coat them.  After they were dry we added the eyes, feathers, beaks, & feet!

So cute!

Yours are adorable, Laura! Love those eyes with the coloured lids and lashes! The feet are a great touch too! So glad you had fun with them! And thanks for the mention!

I have to say yours make ours look lame lol. My 3, 5 and 9 year olds had real trouble getting the feathers to stick though.
    I’m very impressed with yours.

OK, these are so very cute! I looooove the googly eyes on them — I just found these at Michaels a couple of weeks ago, so I already have them on-hand. I’m going to pin this for when we’re doing a bird unit. Thanks for sharing at Stress-Free Sunday at Fun-A-Day!
