Paper Heart Doily Banner
With all the snow, chilly temps, and grey skies around here I wanted something to brighten up our window and bring warmth inside the house. Doing so was very simple! All that was needed was some paper heart doilies, watercolor paints (and/or dot dabbers … markers would work great too), glue, red yarn, and a little help from some little creative hands!
My four year old got right to work on decorating the paper heart doilies with watercolors and dot dabber paints.
The results were beautiful!
After we were sure they nice and dry, Honor got to work gluing the hearts onto red yarn. We used one extra doily on the back of each painted one to give the banner some extra structure.
Then we hung the Paper Heart Doily Banner in our kitchen window for us all to enjoy! Perfect for Valentine’s Day!!
