Khristmas Kid Kraft Krazy

Our family moved in October to a new home and we still have many painting projects to finish.  Our close friends were displaced from their home last May due to burst pipes and are just now able to begin painting their entire home after a complete reconstruction.  And getting projects done with young children around is close to impossible … So, what to do with a 6 year old, 5 year old, and two 2 year olds on a chilly Saturday in December while all the other adults are painting home interiors?

What else … bring a ton of supplies and go Khristmas Kid Kraft Krazy!

1.  Craft Stick Snowflakes … painted with washable paint, dipped in glitter, and then glued together (once dry).

2.  Classic Paper Chain … or as Miss Evelyn prefers … paper bracelets! I got these pre-cut paper strips from Oriental Trading Company.

3.  Ribbon Strip Tree … I cut measured out strips of Christmas ribbon for the kids to glue onto a piece of paper.

4.  3-D Christmas Collage … with some ribbon scraps and foam shapes (also from Oriental Trading Co).

Whew!  We were busy … and that’s not even including the 3 projects that didn’t get finished, the ongoing live-action Angry Bird game, and several stories that were read!
