Turkey Treats & Thanksgiving Fun

I wanted to share with you some cute ideas I’ve found and tried out of fun snacks and activities for Thanksgiving time in past years.

How about we start off with some fun Turkey appetizers?  Like a Turkey Cheeseball …

I got this idea from Gluesticks, but I went the SUPER easy route and even used a pre-made one from the store!  And if that’s not enough cheese (and I don’t think there can EVER be too much cheese), how about this turkey …

Wooden skewers with cheese cubes and grapes!  This idea was from Spoonful.  And with all those yummies you might get a little thirsty, so how about a drink from a turkey cup …

I got that idea from Parents.com.  Now how about some yummy (and playful) desserts?  In 2011 I made these cute turkey cookies, so last year I tried these guys …

I got the idea for these Oreo Turkeys from Edible Crafts.

I also made these delicious Pilgrim Hats.  This fun idea was from Women’s Day.  I made them from Reese’s mini Peanut Butter Cups and Peanut Butter Oreo Fudge Creams … and, oh my, they were SO yummy.  This was also very simple it make and my daughter (3 at the time) really enjoyed helping out.

And what about some fun Thanksgiving crafts?

My daughter and goddaughter had a playdate the week before Thanksgiving last year and we made these shape turkeys … and idea I got from Housing a Forest.

One year at Thanksgiving everyone in the family wrote something they were thankful for on a foam leaf sticker and then we adhered the leaves on a grapevine wreath.  It ended up being a really nice keepsake from that year.

Hello, thank you for your ideas. I’m a daycare provider, taking care of kids ranging from infant (11 months) to preschool (3 years). Do you have ideas of what I can do with them, especially the infants/ toddlers for Thanksgiving? Most of the ideas I’ve gathered are for preschool and older. Thanks!
