Valentine’s Day is soon upon us … so we’ve been enjoying some lovely books about Valentine’s Day! With the weather here in Michigan being as chilly as it has been this year, it’s been wonderful to snuggle up and read them to the kids. And now I’d LOVE to share them with you …
- The Berenstain Bears’ Comic Valentine, by Stan & Jan Berenstain (Great story with a surprise ending about Brother Bear and a secret admirer.)
- If You’ll Be My Valentine, by Cynthia Rylant (lovely ways to spend the special day with all the favorite people in our lives)
- A Charlie Brown Valentine, by Charles Schulz (based on the classic television special)
- Valentine Mice!, by Bethany Roberts (a family of mice spread their love with valentine’s)
- Little Mouse’s, Big Valentine, by Thacher Hurd (Little Mouse makes a HUGE valentine)
- Happy Valentine’s Day, Emma!, by James Stevenson (a cute story about how different witches celebrate Valentine’s Day)
- One Zillion Valentines, by Frank Modell (Two friends make a zillion valentine to spread some love)
- Rhyme Time Valentine, by Nancy Poydar (Ruby is great at coming up with rhymes, so she’s devastated when she loses them in the playground.)
- The Valentine Express, by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace (The bunnies learn about Valentine’s Day and make some special ones for some special people in their lives.)
